Hi all!

We've got quite a few things to talk about so let's get right to them!

Upcoming Performances:

- September 17, 2006 - Benefit 2:00 PM - Ardie Neumann (Rossi's Nightclub, Muskegon) - $5 donation at the door - all ages show

Jimi Ray's daughter, Kaylin Anne, and R-Eazy's Lexi Hamilton-Hart will be playing alto saxophones with BHBB at the upcoming September 17th benefit event for Ardie Neumann (for more info, click here: Ardie Neumann benefit). Our music director, Greg Nimtz, will be out of town for a family wedding that weekend. Trombonist, Mark Miller (from our Alley Door Club show last May) has also committed to playing the show. If you get a chance to see Mark during the event, buy him a drink and let him know how much we all appreciate him participating!

- February 9, 2007 - Alley Door Club in Muskegon, MI - 7:00-10:00 PM

THIS EVENT IS AGE 21 AND OVER.

Ticket Prices: $5 Adult / $10 Couple (available at the door)

This is a night club atmosphere located in the Hilt Building on the third floor, including a cash bar and dancing. The Alley Door Club is accessed from the alley between the Muskegon Chronicle and the Frauenthal buildings. The Freight Elevator will deliver you to some of the best music in West Michigan!

The Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts is comprised of two main buildings which have been joined into one complex.

- Walt Bassett is now officially our booking contact in addition to being our sound and light man. Walt is beginning to fill BHBB's 2007 gig calender so if you have any ideas or know of some possible events, send Walt a note or give him a call and let him know about it!

- Members of BHBB are diligently working on original material that will be recorded and released as the band's second CD. We will give you updates on this as it progresses.

- BHBB is offering FREE CD copies of a recording made during their May 12, 2006 show at the Alley Door Club. In this CD collection the Big House Blues Band performs blues classics by such greats as Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Junior Wells and more. They've even included a couple of nods to the Blues Brothers!

BHBB also pays tribute to the Spencer Davis Group, the Beatles, ZZ Top, Johnny Winter, Aretha Franklin, Joss Stone, Wilson Pickett, Curtis Mayfield and [to kick it up a notch] Rick Derringer!

Copies have been shipped to Japan, Oregon, New York, France, England and North Carolina. Additionally, the CD has been receiving radio airplay! (More on that below.) Click here to get your copy!

Confirmed Airplay:

WGVU FM has added "We Knew Them When..." CD to their airplay list (Greg Blueben's "Saturday Night Blues" at 10:00 PM) and has been playing 1 selection weekly. Greg seems to be excited about our music.
- Rootstime radio (107.9 FM Belgium) - DJ Freddy Celis received a copy at his request. Have gotten good feedback from them. I've put a review of the CD on our news page.
- 10,000 Blues (CKIA-FM 88.3 - Quebec City, Canada) - DJ Mike Rochette received a copy at his request. I can confirm an airplay of "Gimme Some Lovin'" on Friday June 2, 2006 between 7:00-7:30 PM. Most likely the second song of the program.

Airplay Status Unknown:
- Good Time Blues (Buenos Aires, Argentina) - DJ Gustavo Rozenberg received a copy at his request.
