We've finished moving Vinyl Wall Studio to its new location in Muskegon and are gearing up to resume recordings for our upcoming new CD. As we've mentioned previously, songs for approximately half of the album are currently in various stages of the recording process.
Due to the delay in moving the studio, we've updated the target for completion to mid 2009.

The Big House Blues Band would like to welcome Jody "Muddy Britches" Addicott back as our bassist! Jody originally came on-board with BHBB in November 2005.
After a two year absence we are pleased to bring back the bassist and developer of those really cool lighted drumsticks Jimi uses called "Thundersticks". Rehearsals have, again, proven Jody has the right touch and feel for our tunes and we are looking forward to making some great music with Jody.

Jay Carr has decided to leave the Big House Blues Band. As many of you may know, Jay has had his hands full since March with his new baby daughter Malea. Additionally, having a son (Jeramie) and step-son (Albert) both being very active soccer players has left Jay very little time.
We will miss Jay and wish him well!

The Big House Blues Band would like to thank everyone for coming out Uncle Steve's Birthday Blues bash at the Lexicon Club on Saturday! It was a great time and the fund raiser was a big success for the Lexicon Club.

The band had a blast and is very grateful to all of you for coming. We'd also like to thank our gracious host LeeAnn Creager. You always make us feel so welcome!
We also want to send kudos to Chris and Marshall, our two newest horn section members. You guys did a fantastic job.
We will be posting pictures here on our website soon, so check back often - cuz you might be in the pics!

The Big House Blues Band would like to send a sincere and humble THANK YOU to everyone that attended our show in Centennial Park last Friday for Holland's Summer Concert Series. We appreciate you VERY much!

Although an exact crowd count hasn't been made available to us, we've been given estimates of 700 to 1,000 people having attended the show. FANTASTIC!!
Thanks to National City for sponsoring the event, and thanks to our gracious hosts from the Downtown Holland Principle Shopping District: Mimi Fritz, Jill Raywood and Jessa Dutton.
We also want to send kudos to our vocalist Kelly Quinn. Kelly did a fantastic job and deserves the rest of the Big House Blues Band's gratitude for working so hard in such a short period of time preparing for the show. Great job Kelly!
(Lexi Hart was also impressive stepping from behind her saxophone to the vocal mic. It was awesome - thanx Lexi!)
Again, thanx to everyone and we can't wait to see you again.
Until next time - "...nothin' but the blues"
