Hey everyone!

Introducing Chris Kishman...
We'd like to officially announce the addition of our new guitarist, Chris Kishman!

Chris came recommended to us from Vincent Hayes of the Vincent Hayes Project. (If you get a chance, pick up VHP's new CD "Reclamation". It is fantastic!)

Fred DeVries (Audio Technician) says of Chris: "...I've seen him play around town. Very tasty player! He'll rock those blues tunes with you guys! Perfect fit as a player!"

Chris is from Grand Rapids, MI where he was born and raised on the Westside. He started on guitar after hearing Albert King for the first time. King’s presence remains notable in Chris’s playing as well as many other influences ranging from blues, jazz, funk, gospel, soul, r&b, reggae and rock.

Chris’s main job in this band is covering the rhythm and lead guitar duties. He approaches his guitar with a whole lot of soul and taste. He also steps up to front a handful of the bands’ extensive repertoire, singing the lead with a very soulful approach beyond his years.

Chris joins The Big House Blues Band after spending time in bands such as Fatt Lapp Blues Band, Mercurial Son aka Urban Blues Union, The Funky Gentlemen, Lynn Thompson Band, Secrets, and The Usual Suspex (co-hosting "Plugged" at Billy's Lounge for over 2 years now), and more.

He has played regularly for several years at venues such as Billy’s Lounge, The Radio Tavern (now defunct), Teazer's, Rocky's, The Intersection, River City Slim’s (now defunct), Dreamers, 411 Club (Kalamazoo), Wonderful's (Kalamazoo), B.L.U.E.S. on Halsted (Chicago), Kingston Mines (Chicago), Wisefool's Pub(Chicago), and many others.

Upcoming shows...

With the addition of Chris on guitar, we are able to accept a booking for a show at Billy's Lounge in Grand Rapids on May 28th! Can you say 'Woooo-Hoooooo!!!!" - hahahaha

We've been wanting to play at Billy's for a few years now and are excited to be given the opportunity. We want to thank Lyndi Charles for considering us and thank Katie Shelton (booking/promo Nomad Willy) for recommending us.

This is going to be a blast and we can't wait to see you all there! We're stoked to show off our new guitarist, plus, we just plain miss all of you!!!

Studio...
Chris, Elvy, Tzer, Jody, Phil, Lexi and Jimi are still continuing work in the studio on new music. We should be playing some of it at Billy's so come out and hear what we've been working on!
