BENEFIT TO BE HELD FOR WEST MICHIGAN MUSIC VETERAN - ARDIE NEUMANN

SEPTEMBER 7, 2006 (MUSKEGON, MI) -- A benefit event is being organized for West Michigan music veteran Ardie Neumann who has been diagnosed with stage three lung cancer. The show, to be held at Rossi's Nightclub (2411 Hall near Sheridan, Muskegon, MI) on Sunday, September 17, 2006, is slated to showcase eight outstanding West Michigan bands, the first of which is scheduled to hit the stage at 2:00 p.m.

Organizers are asking for a $5.00 donation per person to attend the show, which is being labeled as an "all ages" event. Entertainment, raffles, prizes and drawings will be offered to help raise the funds organizers are seeking.

The list of acts scheduled to contribute their talent include [subject to change]: R-Eazy (Ardie's group), Band Of Outlaws, Phoenix (Louie Kiel), Replay, Big House Blues Band, Flashback (George Nichols w/Johnny Mitchell), Tight Fit, and Phat Phree. Many of the musicians in this list of bands have performed with Ardie in various other bands in the past and were more than willing to donate their talent for the benefit.

Ardie herself is scheduled to perform with her band R-Eazy, but may not be able to due to the debilitating effects of having ongoing radiation treatment and chemotherapy.

Ardie has a long and rich history of performing in the West Michigan area, something she began doing in the mid-1960's. The benefit event will celebrate her life with the show's proceeds helping to offset costs incurred since the diagnosis of her illness.

Further information, advance tickets, or donations may be made by calling Jodi Zelsdorf at (231) 767-0898.
